The Maltese islands are nesteld at the foot of Italy just south of Sciliy and surrounded by  the crystal waters of the Mediterranean Sea.  Malta mainland is the largests of the three Islands of Malta, Gozo & Comino.  And as such is the more populated of the islands.
 
Although the island is relativley small it has something for everyone form large 5* resorts, apartments, villas to small boutique establishments.  The busy resort areas of St. Julians, Bugibba, Qawra & Pauls Bay offer holidaymakes the strips of bars, hotels and night clubs of any hot spot in the mediterranean. Sliema, a romantic walk along the prominade from St. Julians has wondeful restaurants and cafes where you can relax and watch the world go by over a coffe and delicious pastry. Mellieha Bay, home of the only real sandy beach in the north of the island has endless possibilities for accommodation, excellent restaurants and is home to the famous Popeye village theme park. And no matter where you decide to stay nothing is really that far with an inexpensive and frequent bus services.
